Flora has a great asset that sets approximately 3 miles to the west of the middle of the city. It is called Charley Brown Memorial Park. Not only is the park an absolutely beautiful piece of land but it also supports many activities and events through out the year. It is 100 acres of rolling hills, swimming pool, camp sites for both campers and tents, picnic sites, boating, fishing, walking, and the Little Toot Railroad miniature train ride for young and old alike. The present day park offers several events through out the year. A few of the events are: Blue grass jamborees, Demolition derbies, Horse shows, motocross racing, Fourth of July carnival, County Fair, Relay for Life event, Car & tractor shows, and Christmas lights in the winter.
