The playground has been recently remodeled with new equipment. Across the street from the playground are 2 horse shoe pits.

Many visitors and residents alike use the park as a walking track as all of the roads are paved and there are many different paths one can take depending on fitness level.
A great treat for kids of all ages is the Little Toot Railroad Company. It is a miniature railroad that currently has 2 trains. The first is a real coal-fired steam engine made by Crown Metal Products and the second is a diesel train with the Illinios Central "City of New Orleans" markings on it. The diesel is a Tom Thumb reproduction. The ride is $4.00 for one trip around and $6.00 for two trips around the nearly mile of track. A season pass of 12 rides can be bought for $30.00.
A hill south of the dam and spillway has been named Memorial Hill and is planted with many evergreens. These trees are placed in memory of someone who has passed away due to cancer.
